Rental vehicle and periodThe signed rental record identifies the renter, vehicle, pickup and return dates, locations, rate, deposit, fuel, mileage, and condition. The rental begins when the renter takes possession and ends when Carolina Drive Rentals accepts the returned vehicle. Extensions require prior approval.
Payment and unlimited mileageUnlimited mileage is included, subject to every other agreement term. The renter authorizes approved rental charges and other lawful, documented charges described in the agreement.
Drivers and insuranceOnly drivers approved by Carolina Drive Rentals may operate the vehicle. The renter must maintain acceptable insurance throughout the rental and remains responsible for applicable deductibles, uninsured amounts, and contractual obligations.
Return, condition, fuel, and incidentsThe vehicle must be returned on time, in substantially the same condition, with approximately the same fuel level. Accidents, damage, theft, warning lights, and mechanical problems must be reported promptly.
Prohibited useUnauthorized drivers, unlawful or impaired driving, racing, towing, reckless use, unauthorized travel, and rideshare, delivery, courier, or other commercial use without express authorization are prohibited.
Electronic signatureElectronic signatures, records, and delivered copies may be used with the same effect as handwritten signatures to the extent permitted by applicable law. The renter must have an opportunity to read the agreement and ask questions before signing.
This digital agreement records your identity, requested vehicle and dates, signature timestamp, IP address, browser information, and agreement version. Pickup staff will complete vehicle-specific condition, fuel, odometer, VIN, plate, and owner-authorization fields.
